My mouse works but my TouchPad does not.
And activating the TouchPad with the F6 function on my EasyNote LV44HC does nothing...
Have you experienced this issue, and if so, how did you solve it?
Thought to consider: should I update the TouchPad driver software?
Thank you very much. Marc

Good evening,
Indeed, try reinstalling the driver; it is a possible solution.
What operating system is installed on the PC, and is it 32 or 64 bits?
Best regards.

My OS is Windows 8 in 64 bits.
For the touchpad driver, how can I get information about the software (name, version, etc...)?-
Hello 44592251,
Two driver options for this machine running Windows 8 64-bit, ALPS and ELANTECH.
Regarding the first one ===> DRIVER.
Regarding the second one ===> DRIVER.
You also have the option to perform a search regarding the different devices installed on the machine by downloading and installing Packard Bell Detection Utility.
The latter should provide details about the touchpad.
Best regards.

Hello. First of all, thank you very much for helping me.
After trying:
1- the ELANTECH driver is not valid; that’s the message that appears when registering. (http://global-download.packardbell.com/GDFiles/Driver/TouchPad/TouchPad_ELANTECH_11.6.8.001_W8x64_A.zip?acerid=634844010437022695&Step1=Notebook&Step2=EasyNote&Step3=EN%20LV44HC&OS=8cn1&LC=fr&BC=Packard%20Bell&SC=EMEA_13P
2- the ALPS driver is a zipped folder and I am stuck there because there is no .exe file... (http://global-download.packardbell.com/GDFiles/Driver/TouchPad/TouchPad_ALPS_8.100.2020.110_W8x64_A.zip?acerid=634844009824461445&Step1=Notebook&Step2=EasyNote&Step3=EN%20LV44HC&OS=8cn1&LC=fr&BC=Packard%20Bell&SC=EMEA_13P
3- as for the Toshiba utility, I really can’t make it work... In fact, I don’t understand anything that is being asked (very random translation in French).
I finally found the version of my TouchPad driver:
ETDWare PS/2-X64 11.6.17.002_WHQL
I will try to find it online...
If I can't figure it out, I will ask for HELP again. Thank you again. Marc -
Hello
For some PCs, the touchpad is activated by the Fn + F9 key.
Give it a try.

I tried with the F9 key by pressing the (Fn) key and without pressing it: no effect.

On the Packard Bell website, there are indeed drivers available for download but not for my model. I checked the FAQ and found this:
- Driver Updates -
Why can't I find updated drivers for my model?
Updated drivers are made available when they provide a substantial advantage over the original installed driver, or to fix specific issues reported with the original driver. This means that for some products, only the original drivers are available. Drivers provided by Packard Bell, through the pre-installed operating system and on Packard Bell's websites, have been qualified to work with the product.
While newer drivers may be obtained from other sources, Packard Bell does not offer support for their installation or use, nor can it indicate whether they will work correctly with Packard Bell products.
> This encourages me to contact customer service directly, right? -
Try the Fn and another F key.
Fn + F6 or F7 or another one.
You may have the missing driver for your touchpad.

No results after all these attempts.
I will have to let go of my phone.
It's time for me to go to work. I will be available again at the end of the day. I sincerely thank you for helping me with all these procedures to solve my problem.
I hope to reach customer service over the phone today. I will let you know what comes out of it.
Have a good day to you "tribun". Marc -
On certain Packard Bell Easynote, above the F10 key, you have an icon represented by a square and a hand, along with the + sign!
You just need to press it to enable/disable the Touchpad.
See if that works.

No, it doesn't work. On my laptop, it's the F6 key that has that icon with a hand and a square...

Load the touchpad driver
