Hello,
Since my formatting and migration from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1, I can no longer access my NAS, a Dlink DNS320, connected as a network drive on my computer. The following error message occurs after a few seconds connected to the NAS:
"Error reconnecting to \\MY NAS
Microsoft Windows Network: Local device name already in use"
I can still connect to the NAS from other computers in my home, as well as from the NAS web interface from my workstation, but not from my computer's Explorer.
I haven't created any particular restrictions on the NAS, no quotas or anything else.
I started looking into the solutions suggested on forums, but without success. Here’s what I have done:
- deleted and then recreated the network drive on my workstation
- renamed the computer on the network to avoid having my computer detected as a duplicate; I also renamed it on my Freebox router
So far, I haven’t made much progress; it’s slight. Can you help me understand this message? Any ideas on what I could do?
