My JPEGs won't load on Epson projector.

Hello,
I'm a bit frustrated because my JPEG files won't display on the EPSON projector of my photo club.
My USB stick is being read just fine, the projector shows some icons of my photos (but not all), but it’s impossible to project them.
At first, I thought my files were too large, so I reduced them. But nothing works...
Just for the record, I am scanning Black & White negatives with VueScan (but it’s the same with color photos from a small digital compact).
My PC runs on Linux (Mageia 3 64 bits) and my photos go through The Gimp for various adjustments.
I should mention that these same photos also don’t work on the TV, but they can be read without problems on any PC.
So, if anyone has any clue...

Configuration: Asus Z87-A C2, i7 4770K, 16 GB RAM
ssd Mageia 3-64 bits KDE interface

Well, lacking a response, I'll answer myself, having found the solution, in case it might help someone.
So the problem comes from the "progressive" option that needs to be unchecked when we export the file to JPEG.
The TV and the projector apparently do not support this option.
    Hello everyone
