Hello,

I would like to know how to recover a text written with a simple brush on an image that has been "blurred". I think an example would be more illustrative with an image:

Do you know a technique to uncover the hidden word?

Thank you

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 28.0.1477.0

Unless it's a layered format (like a Photoshop PSD) and the text and doodles are on two different layers, it's impossible.

Thank you for your response.

And how can we achieve such a result?

That is to say? The person who created the doodle must have done it on a software that supports layers and saved it in a particular format, so it took into account the "impossible or almost," unless it’s a friend who specifically sends it to you so you can do it! (An image of this format cannot be saved from the internet with a "right click, save as"… it downloads like a normal file and opens with the corresponding software)

Actually, I'm trying to figure out how to retrieve the message in the image. The image I provided is just an example to illustrate the point and doesn't necessarily meet the criteria you mentioned earlier. And to answer your question, yes, it’s possible to retrieve the message since several people have done it... The only problem is that I don't know how...

So it means they had overlay formats or that the word was guessable.. otherwise it's impossible, if the pixels are blue, no software can guess the red.. (if it's slightly blurred, we can recover that by playing with sharpness, etc.)

Hello.
Impossible if the image has been saved as is or with flattened layers: jpeg; btmp, etc...
