Hello,
I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-543 laptop running Windows XP Service Pack 3.
I would like to know where I can find the drivers for my computer to download? (Toshiba support can't help me because my computer is too old and no longer in their database).
Or how can I back up my current drivers so that I can restore them after resetting the computer? Thank you for your responses.

Download and install --> 7Zip
Download this driver --> Ethernet
and put it in your documents.
Right-click on --> sp33939.exe
Choose --> 7Zip
Choose --> extract to sp33939
Go to Device Manager.
Right-click on the device
Update driver
No, not this time, next
Install from a list or specified location, next
Include this location in the search
Browse
Go to your documents
Select the extracted driver folder --> sp33939
Next, etc...
Restart.

Alright, thank you, and what’s next? Once I’ve downloaded everything, I’ll put it all on an external hard drive. I’ll restore my computer to its original state and then just plug in the external hard drive?
Will my computer recognize the external hard drive?
Thank you for your answers. -
Hello,
The drivers are available on the Toshiba website, just go and get them!
Under the laptop, a label, copy and paste here the references starting with PSA??
Example:
PSAA8, PSAAR, PSAA2, etc......
Regards.

Hello,
Okay, thanks, I will look for it. Otherwise, once I have my drivers on my external hard drive and my Windows XP Service Pack 3 Pro CD, what do I do to restore the computer to its original state? Do I need to:
- Go to Start -> My Computer -> Right-click on (C:) -> Format
or
- Run the Windows XP Service Pack 3 Pro installation CD?
or
- something else...
Thank you for your answers. -
Go into the BIOS
Advanced
Boot menu
Boot sequence
Set the CD drive as first boot
Insert the Windows CD into the drive
Press F10 or exit with save
Restart the PC.

Ah yes, that's it! I was told about a boot control and I don't remember what else, a special mode. By the way, where is the BIOS on my Toshiba laptop? :(
Thank you-
If you proceed as shown in this IMAGE by filling in 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. the requested references in this response, you will find all the drivers for your machine.
Best regards
Kind regards kaneagle. -

Hi, I managed to install Windows XP Service Pack 3 Pro and some drivers, but not all! I couldn't install the driver that allows me to go online via local network, but I was successful with the Wi-Fi driver. If someone could help me :) Thank you very much!

Have you tried this one? --> Ethernet

Hello,
I tried, but nothing changes; I still have the "?" next to "Ethernet Controller" in Device Manager. What can I do? Thank you for your responses.
PS: After rechecking, my computer is a Toshiba Satellite A100-991 and not 543. -
For A100-991, install this one --> Ethernet
If it still doesn't work:
Right-click on the device
Properties
Details tab
Provide the hardware ID number.
To find the ID number, look --> here <--

I tried with the "Ethernet" that you just gave me, and I still couldn't get it to work because I have this page that appears: http://www.zimagez.com/zimage/ethernet3.php (I click on "YES" but nothing happens).
For the hardware ID numbers, I have all of this:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1092&SUBSYS_FF101179&REV_02
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1092&SUBSYS_FF101179
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1092&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1092&CC_0200
Thank you for your help.. -
