How to remove a language in Google Translate?

Hello everyone,

So here's the thing, recently I translated a word from Russian to French on Google Translate, but the problem is that I had entered the languages I was interested in and now it has stored Russian in memory and replaced it. Plus, it's impossible to disable what has been selected in the language list, it's ridiculous.

Personally, I'm not amused to have to select the languages from the list every time, while I would just like to keep 3 main languages in the translation tabs.

And apart from deleting cookies, I don't see how I can do it.

Does anyone have an idea?

Thank you in advance for your help ;-)

You just need to uninstall the app and reload it, then choose the desired languages.

    Hello SuperLumberjack

I don't see what your problem is!
On the left, you have the choice of 80 languages to convert and 81 languages on the right.
You just need to check the language of your choice on each side.
The languages are in the Google Translate program, you cannot remove them.
If one link has problems, you can take another one.
    https://translate.google.fr/#en/fr/

You also have Orange Translation with 16 languages to translate into 15 languages.

    https://www.orange.fr/portail?u=http://traduction.orange.fr

There are other translation software options for you to choose the one that suits you, knowing that the same sentence will never (or rarely) be translated identically between the software.

    Have a nice weekend!

Thank you, but I understood that I could choose languages from the list ^^

What I actually want, in the 3 languages that can be preselected near the “Translate” button, is to keep only the ones that interest me. By delete, I mean deselect.

Originally, I selected: French, German, and English

The problem is that for example, if we want to translate something into Russian, one of the 3 languages is replaced, in this case, German. So I have: French, Russian, and English.

And I wanted to deselect Russian to be able to get back the selections that interest me instead of having to select the language from the list each time.

Because if I select German, it replaces French, you see? But Russian stays in the selection.

In short, this gives: German, Russian, and English ¬¬

And now that I’ve deleted the cookies, it’s not better, because in the selection, I have: French, English, and Arabic. Already, as a preselection, Arabic isn’t the most relevant as the 3rd language, I would say ^^, but on top of that, every time I go to Google Translate, it launches this preselection.

For me, these selection buttons are just useless if we can’t customize them.

But since I’m an optimist, I still come to ask if there would be a solution :-P

So thank you to anyone who can help me :-)

I have the same problem with the Russian who refuses to leave the list of the three selections...
If I find it, I'll come back to tell you!

Thank you, that's nice ;-) I have to admit that this thing is poorly designed. Zero possibility for customization!

Same problem, I have Arabic showing up and it's really starting to annoy me....

I just had to click on French/English/German, now I have to waste my time looking through the list....
