[Problem] "Scrambled" image with certain DVDs.

Hello,

I recently purchased an LCD TV from the brand TCL. I'm satisfied with it so far, but I've noticed a small problem with my DVD player. It's a Philips DVD player that I've had for 2/3 years. I have several DVD discs that no longer play properly. The sound is good, but the picture is "blurry," it feels like I'm watching Canal Plus. What's strange is that it doesn't happen with all the movies. I have some films that play very well with a nice picture, while for others, the image is blurry.

I think it might be a connection issue. With my old (and very old) TV, all the films played fine. I should mention that the DVD player is connected to the TV via a SCART cable. I can't connect it via HDMI because the DVD player doesn't have an HDMI output.

Is there a solution to fix my problem, or is my equipment incompatible?

Thank you for reading and thanks to those who will respond.

    Good evening,

Is there anyone who has an idea to solve this problem? I might not have posted in the right place... I'm a bit lost on this big forum. In any case, I still can't find the solution and yet I've looked everywhere on the internet.

At first glance, it doesn't seem to be your equipment, because it would be all the DVDs that wouldn't work.
Have you tried wiping the DVDs (from the inside to the outside with a soft cloth)?

      Good evening,

No, I haven't tried to wipe the DVDs. However, I tried to read them in another player and also on the computer and it works very well.
