Hello,

I recently downloaded the Windows 8.1 update. I have the OEM version of Windows 8 64-bit.

For the past two days, I've been having problems again!!! The printer is not working... I can't restore my system, I can't make updates....

The point mapper is not activated (control panel, hardware, all devices, right click, then troubleshoot... it can't activate it automatically)

I have an internet connection... but in the taskbar, I have no network....

In short, it's a disaster! I tried to refresh the computer in the Windows 8.1 interface (not the desktop)..... it doesn't refresh!!

And to top it all off... I tried to completely reinstall Windows 8 using my installation CD, it boots from the CD no problem.... but then it's impossible to go any further.... the Microsoft repair tool doesn't work! (I can access it, but when I try to recover, repair.... it doesn't work, it does nothing like in the Windows 8 interface or when I start the refresh (it refreshes I don't know what but definitely not my PC)

In short, nothing works... SKYPE is not working either... it can't connect anymore.

Can you help me? Or give me a number to call Microsoft... my system is not working.... and I've paid for my license... this is not normal.

Thank you for your help.
Nicolas
Best regards

PS: I installed CCLEANER and I am using SYPHUNTER 4 (because I had some search engines that had installed themselves)

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 31.0.1650.63

Re, small clarification on the subject.

Recently last Friday... my graphics card was no longer recognized.... (NVIDIA GTI 4250). I went to Boulanger... they removed the battery from the PC... and diagnosed that the card was dead.... so now the motherboard's integrated graphics card is taking over as the graphics card.

When I had this issue, I cleaned the PC... and at the front connectors of the PC.... I have two USB ports.... a power indicator (reset button) and the button I press to turn on the PC.

When the guy reconnected the small wires that go from these elements to the motherboard...(at the bottom right of the motherboard)

well, the USB ports at the front no longer respond....

Isn't there a problem with the USB ports?

FINALLY I JUST TESTED my printer (SCANNING WORKS FINE) IMPOSSIBLE TO PRINT

Good evening,

I solved my issue on my own!

I went to settings, modify PC settings, update and recovery, recovery THEN advanced startup (on the right).

From there, the PC rebooted and I had the option to choose a system restore. A restore that I no longer had access to via the classic Windows interface (maintenance center).

My printer is working again, my updates are functioning again and I activated Windows Defender!

I just lost a couple of files that I hadn't backed up.

Merry Christmas!
