Good evening everyone,
Thank you in advance for your responses and suggestions.
My problem is as follows:
My HP Pavilion t747.fr after over 2 years of good and loyal service will not start anymore since last night.
The screen indicates "No signal"... The graphics card does not seem to be the issue as the result is the same after changing it.
The screen and the cable are not the problem either (same result on another computer)...
No beeps on startup... the fans start up and the HD light turns on. The DVD drive seems fine...
But there is no way to access the BIOS of course.
The attempts I have made without success:
replacement of graphics card
CR2 battery... removed and replaced
checked power cables
I'm stuck, is it a motherboard or processor issue or both?
How can I simply check???
Thank you in advance for your responses and suggestions.

Same for my girlfriend's tower!!!
The tower hasn't turned on for about 3 weeks, and last night I was supposed to work on the computer, and it refuses to give me a picture... it says "no signal", the fans start up, the CD-ROM spins, the hard drive starts, but the "no signal" appears.....
I opened the tower to take a look, but everything seems fine. I unplugged everything in the back and plugged it back in, but nothing works. What should I do? I'm hopeless at computers lol.

Hello,
You unplug the power outlet and if you have a power switch behind the tower, turn it off for 1 minute; otherwise, still with the plug unplugged, hold down the Power button for 1 minute.
Then restart to see if it's okay.

Same symptoms in 2013: at startup, the Windows XP logo in low resolution as usual, then the screen turns off while the hard drive continues to boot normally; under Ubuntu, low-resolution boot screen then access to the command line session. The above solution worked perfectly when I was already considering replacing the graphics card after taking it apart and reassembling it. Thank you!
Congratulations again to the Druid and Marco Polo because this problem is really frustrating. Do you know of a definitive and more "orthodox" way to solve it? Are there any manipulations to avoid (like putting it to sleep for example, which is quite unfortunate for using a family computer...) Thanks to everyone for the answers.
Hello!
When I turn on my PC, the tower lights up but doesn't send any signal to the screen or the keyboard. So I'm quite frustrated, knowing that this problem appeared suddenly, without me touching anything. The tower emits continuous "beeps," which doesn't reassure me.
Thanks for replying if someone thinks they have a solution.

Good evening, I have the same problem... Yesterday my computer froze, to the point where I had to force it off, and now I can't turn it back on :'( The tower lights up normally and the screen shows no signal. I tried holding the power button for 1 minute but the same issue persists. Please help me knowing that I am not good at taking apart and reassembling a computer or naming each piece... Well, it's done... The thing is working again..
Why?
I’m not really sure, but by removing a particular RAM stick, the screen is systematically visible again, and access to the BIOS is OK..
And miracle, it reboots fine...
When I put this RAM stick back, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work at all.....
So it's decided, I'm not putting it back anymore!!!
Thanks to everyone for your input.....

To address hardware issues and boot problems: No signal on the screen
PLEASE RESET THE CMOS ''refer to the motherboard manual provided with the PC upon purchase.
CMOS JUMPER IS NORMALLY RED IN COLOR..
SECONDLY
the trick consists of replacing the faulty components
WITH OTHER REPLACEMENT PERIPHERALS, and for that, a friend's PC might suffice
(but beware of the risks and dangers.. as electronic components are very fragile)
The lack of spare parts for some will undoubtedly be a concern!
Otherwise, test the replacement hardware until the PC functions again.

Hello, at first glance and without further details, let's apply the simplest method: unplug the 220V power supply, open your case, remove the "button-type" battery, which keeps the BIOS information, turn everything back on but still without the 220V power, put your button battery back in after checking that the 3V voltage is stable; if not, change it, reconnect everything, restart while checking your BIOS settings with F2. Good luck, keep me posted. Patrick.
Hi!
Same problem on an HP Presario since last night
When I turn on my PC, the fan lights up but doesn't send any signal to the screen or the keyboard.
So I'm really stuck, knowing that this problem appeared suddenly, without me touching anything.
Thank you for responding if anyone thinks they have a solution.

Do you have an old generic PCI video card lying around, like the S3 Virge?
I often fix this kind of problem by using another slot, getting the device a bit riled up... usually, it even retrieves the display, then I turn it off, put the old card back in, and it works again...

Hello, my computer screen displays "no signal" as well. I tried using another hard drive, changing the RAM sticks, but the result is the same every time. I dusted it off, cleaned everything, but nothing works. Everything seems to power on correctly, though... could someone please tell me what to do? Thank you.
Hi salon
After adding equipment to my case, it has become too small and it's too annoying to rummage around in it
I got a larger case and embarked on transferring everything to it.
The connections are the same, everything went smoothly in no time. Only 2 cables are of no use to me, one goes to the card reader (I don't think I have that connector on the MSI motherboard I bought in 2003), the other powers the front audio... but I don't really need it (the connection port doesn't match anything on the motherboard), so I didn't connect these two cables
After assembly, my issue is as follows:
The screen doesn't turn on, "no signal" (but it works on my other PC)
So I removed the video card and connected to the one integrated into the motherboard... same thing, no screen (I'm thinking it might be disabled in the BIOS... but without a screen, I can't get in)
Then I took the Nvidia from my other PC... still no screen, still "no signal"
I changed my RAM stick... nothing
I also changed its position... still no screen.
The cables are fine, plus I've tried others, the reassembly was done with care (anti-static wrist strap)
The next step... I think it will come from one of you because I'm starting to lose it, especially since the day before, the same equipment in the other case worked wonderfully;
Thank you in advance
P.S.: there’s probably already an answer on CCM but it takes hours and hours to find since CCM has become a bible.

Hello,
I have 3 RAM sticks 2X512 + 1 256 - installed for over 2 years.
I tried removing all the sticks and turning the PC back on; it made a noise.
I put one stick back in randomly - no result.
I removed and swapped the stick ... restarted => same situation.
I had removed the "button" battery but that didn't help.
I even tried to blindly reset the BIOS settings to default.
(following the instructions on the HP site F1 F5 enter etc.) it still didn't work... but then again, it was done blind.
Now, I'm not a technician and when you tell me "turn everything back on but still without the 220V" I admit I'm lost... what am I supposed to do without the 220V???
Otherwise, another question:
While browsing forums, I saw a discussion where someone said their CPU got stuck in "DANGER" mode and after unlocking it, everything was fine...
Has anyone heard of this type of manipulation, and if so, how can it be done??
Intel Pentium 4 530 processor socket 775 (I believe, but I can no longer access Everest / AIDA)

Hello,
I have exactly the same problem as jijidegwada, except that I am more than a dunce. I unplugged, blew, and replugged the memory stick, the graphics card, and checked all the connections from the tower to the screen, and I still have the "no signal" message on the screen. What should I do? Buy a new graphics card or memory stick? And what if that's not it? I would have invested for nothing, plus I don't know any specifications of the PC because it's my mother's computer, and she threw away all the documentation.

I had this no signal problem on the screen, but my PC started normally up to the Windows logo, and then the screen displayed no signal. In the meantime, I had changed to a Samsung 3D Vision screen, and apparently, the issue came from that because to use my new screen, I had to change the screen resolution to the maximum. Finally, I also changed PCs and gave mine to my sister, who apparently has a screen not powerful enough for my new resolutions. So, I reconnected the old PC to my Samsung screen, and now it works. I lowered all the resolutions to the minimum so that my sister's screen could support it, and now there’s no more no signal; it works perfectly. There you go, if I could help you, great! ;) P.S. Sorry for the mistakes, I'm writing in a hurry.
Hello everyone, I'm not reposting this but I'm offering a solution to those who, like me, have screens that won't turn on.
And I find it enjoyable to find the solution when others have resolved their issue.
If you have a graphics card, like a GeForce 8600 GT or another, not the original ones, connect the monitor cable to the graphics card instead of the PC.
All my friends have this problem, but it's just that they're connecting the screen to the PC and not to the new graphics card. ^^ There you go, bye.

Hello, so my problem is a bit like everyone else's except that I just changed my motherboard because my old one had network issues and I received the new one yesterday. I just installed it, but the problem is that nothing displays on the screen, just no signal. I've swapped several parts to see if changing something would help, but nothing works. However, my graphics card is inserted into the motherboard, so if it's the card that's causing the issue, that's not great. Well, if you have an answer to my problem, please respond quickly.
Hello, I have a new desktop computer running Vista. I put it to sleep using the Mediacenter remote control. However, since then the screen no longer detects a video signal despite turning it off, unplugging it, etc. Nothing works. I've just received it, and I hope it's not a hardware issue. I'm not yet familiar with Vista, so it's possible that I made a mistake. I completely unplugged it and will check tomorrow. Otherwise, I will call technical support. Thank you in advance.

I have the problem you mentioned. It annoys me to no end. So I wanted to know if by any chance you had solved this issue?
