Hello everyone.

I acquired this week an LG RH731T DVD recorder with a built-in 160GB Hard Drive.
Recordings are made directly onto the HDD, but it is possible to "copy" the files onto a DVD later. However, as everyone knows, it is necessary to finalize the DVD to read it on other devices...
Unfortunately, this option is permanently grayed out in the menu, and one can only "format" after copying a video file onto the DVD... I tested on DVD+RW and DVD-RW.

The manual explains in two distinct and separate sections that it is possible to finalize and copy video files to the DVD, but there is no direct link between these two sections (20 pages apart, as if one does not depend on the other)... So I don't know how to be able to read my DVDs on other DVD players in the house...

If anyone can help me, I would be happy ;)
I am at your disposal for any further information.

Thank you in advance.
Romain

It may also be that this option is planned BEFORE the burning, along with the one to eject the disc at the end....

    Hello...

On the type of machines I’ve had, you had to go to the "disk management" menu, or a tab like that... it's never in the burning or recording section... keep looking.....! ;)

    Best regards,

As soon as I get back home, I'll try to see that, but it seems to me that I have sadly already gone through everything :(
