Can I charge my Android tablet via my computer?

Hello, I wanted to know if it was possible to charge my Android tablet via my PC. The charger for my tablet broke because my little brother stepped on it. My tablet can only stay on for 5 seconds. Thank you in advance.

    Hi, if you have the USB cable, that's good. PCs provide a certain amount of variable power (but always at 5 volts) through USB ports, sometimes enough and sometimes not enough to charge the tablet. Some laptops can send a lot of juice through a port thanks to a program (ASUS ones can do it, I believe), but I doubt it for desktops.
    If you don't have a PC with a powerful enough USB power supply, a phone charger that works via USB will also do the trick.
