Good evening everyone,
This morning my Toshiba laptop started making a loud noise from the fan. So I decided to clean the fan. I checked the steps online, took it apart, cleaned it, and put it back together. I restarted it, no issues, everything booted up normally. Then I realized I forgot to reconnect the keyboard. I powered it off again, partially disassembled it, connected the keyboard. And then when I turned it back on, the laptop shut down during the Windows loading. I don’t understand what’s happening and I have no idea what’s wrong with it. Could someone please advise me on what to do? Or does anyone have an explanation for what's happening with my PC?
Thank you in advance for your help :)
Configuration: Windows Vista / Chrome 30.0.1599.101

And are you sure you have reconnected everything correctly? Without reversing any connections?

The only connection I touched is that of the keyboard; the other connections remained plugged in during the operation.

Furthermore, it has happened that the session selection page displays, but the computer always shuts down very quickly afterwards.

If it stops directly, it's a protection, so something must not be working. When you turn it on, do the fans run well?

When I turn it on, the fan does indeed spin well, maybe a bit fast but nothing alarming.

Hello...
Unplug the keyboard again to see if it works normally....
Best regards,
See you later

I admit I'm stuck, maybe a power supply issue but right now I don't see it.

Good evening everyone,
Thank you for all your responses. After a day of tinkering, my computer is working again. I tightened a spring-loaded screw by a quarter turn that I had probably touched during disassembly, and everything is running smoothly! I still don't understand why all of this happened, but it's working again.
Thanks again for your attention and help!-
Hello,
Could I know which device you are talking about?
I have a similar problem at the moment with a Toshiba P300-1EI. I opened it up due to an issue with the fan noise, and since then it shuts off after 10 seconds; sometimes I can use it for a few hours before it turns off, and with each subsequent restart, it shuts off after 10 seconds.
Thanks in advance for your help.
