Hello,
I bought an Epson Stylus SX440W a year ago and it's already broken!!! The printer is completely stuck due to a "waste ink pad is at the end of its life" issue. After doing some research, I learned that there is a counter on the cleaning system and it needs to be reset. I tried using SSC Service Utility but the software doesn't seem to recognize the printer!!! (the ink levels don't show up, just like in the demo). So, I'm at a dead end. I'm disappointed because up until now, it was working perfectly for me, especially with the CISS system (a system that is very, very economical, no cartridges to replace....). Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,
"<b>SSC service Utility</b>" is an old piece of software that hasn't been maintained for quite a while now.
Fortunately, there are replacements: the <b>Adjustment Program</b> by <b>OrthoTamine</b> (free) and <b>WICreset</b> (paid except in diagnostic mode).
* <b>Adjustment Program</b> can be downloaded online, but you might not find it easily.
If worst comes to worst, if you are willing to pay £10 to download it from this site (unlimited free use for life): <b> <a href='http://www.wasteinkpads.com/' rel='nofollow noopener noreferrer' target='_blank'>http://www.wasteinkpads.com/</a> </b>
* <b>WICReset</b> (paid use for each reset of the counter) can be downloaded at this address: <b> <a href='https://www.2manuals.com/' rel='nofollow noopener noreferrer' target='_blank'>https://www.2manuals.com/</a> </b>
Here is a video made by me where I use both programs: <b> <a href='https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwbq_9DdlfU' rel='nofollow noopener noreferrer' target='_blank'>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwbq_9DdlfU</a> </b>
It's your turn now. And remember, I never said to buy anything.
Best regards to those who benefit from my input.
