How to send a message to the server via the console

Good evening, how can we send a message to the server (that shows up in the chat and that all players can see) because when I write a message without a command in the console like "Hello everyone" it tells me that it's not recognized as a command and I can do /help.
The answer must be simple but I'm a bit of a noob around here =)

    Based on your message, I assume you are talking about a Minecraft server. If that's the case, in the console: say "yourmessage"
