Hello,
Having recently purchased a male-to-male HDMI cable, I connected my two computers through it. One is a laptop running Windows 8, and the other is a desktop running Windows 7.
However, I cannot get anything to work: I feel like the two computers do not recognize each other, or at least I am unable to use one of them as a secondary display.
Do you have any idea?
Thank you very much,
Best regards,

"Nevertheless, it is impossible for me to draw any conclusions: I feel that the two computers do not recognize each other, or at least I cannot use one of them as a secondary display." What were you expecting? HDMI ports generally only work in one direction: from an output to an input. However, the HDMI ports on the graphics cards of PCs are all outputs. If you connect an output to another output, it won’t yield anything.

How would you advise me to proceed to connect the two computers?

I don't know exactly what you want to do. Otherwise, to connect 2 computers, you would need to use a crossover RJ45 cable.
