Hello,

I have a very simple question to which I can't find an answer (I searched this forum and Google). I would like to put the screen of a desktop computer (Windows 7) into sleep mode and make sure that when waking up, it asks for a password.

I've searched the PC and either I can put the screen to sleep but without a password prompt, or I can set a password but only for putting the whole computer to sleep.

I want only the screen to turn off so that the software running on the PC continues to run in the background. This is to allow the computer to run without someone being able to use it without permission.

I'm not sure I was very clear, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 23.0

Hello,

In the screensaver selection screen, there is a checkbox.

"Upon resume, require login"

This means that a password must be set for this session and it will also be required when the computer is turned on.

It works. The sound continues in the background and I'm being asked for a password. I don't understand why it didn't work when I tried. Thanks anyway!
