USB Drive Connection History.

Hello,

I’m trying my luck here after searching through the depths of the internet and failing.
I have a USB key that I had forgotten at a friend's place who lives quite far from me. He sent it back to me by mail. Here’s my question: Is there any software (or a function present on the USB key) that allows me to know if he plugged my USB key into his computer and possibly copied/pasted files from this key onto his computer?
Indeed, I looked at the properties and if the file is modified, the date updates to the day and hour of the modification. However, if you just transfer this file to his PC, the modification date doesn’t update and there is no way to obtain a history of these actions.
Does anyone have THE solution?? I had rather personal files on this key, so I would like to know what this USB key "experienced" while it was away from home.

Thanks in advance to those who will look into the matter. I’m sure there must be a trick.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 29.0.1547.66

Hello.

When displaying files in "Details," simply select the "Date accessed" option and you will see the date and time of the last access.

Hello,

Thank you for your response Antipolis a.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work. When I go into the properties of one of the files on the USB drive, I see in "General": "Last access on: " and the date indicated is the one when I last inserted files onto the drive, which was before I left the drive at my friend's place, even though since then I have checked and copied that file onto my PC to see if the date would update. And nothing. The date remains the same.
I went into "Details" as you suggested, and the only two dates are those of the file's creation on the drive and its modification. Even after checking and copying that file as a test on another computer, the modification date does not update.
Maybe a setting to change in my drive??

I'm stuck and it's not for lack of having scoured similar questions on the internet that don't have answers. I hope to find a miracle software, somewhat like those that allow backups, but to access the reading history.

"<i>I went to "Details" as you indicated and the only two dates are the creation date of the file on the USB drive and the modification date of that file.</i> " <br />You can have the "Access date". <br />Right-click on the column title row, a window will appear. <br />And there, check the "Access date" option. <br /> <br /><i>I hope to find a miracle software, a bit like those that allow backups . . .</i>" <br />These programs know what they have to back up based on the "Attributes" of the files and/or the database they build. <br /> <br /><i> . . . but to access the reading history</i> " <br />It would still have to be that there is an access history. <br /> <br /><i>Despite having consulted and copied this test file on another computer, the modification date does not update.</i> " <br />Normal. <br />Since you haven't modified anything. <br />However, the "Access date" has been updated since it was opened for reading."

I right-clicked, but nothing happens (if I clicked in the right places).
Too bad, I’m starting to resign myself to the fact that we can’t access the read or copy date of a file if it hasn’t been modified :/

Thank you nonetheless for taking the time to think about my question.
