Completely Uninstall a USB Device

Hello,

I have an HP G3110 scanner connected via USB and yesterday morning, for no reason and without installing any software on my computer, the scanner switched to "USB device not recognized."
I tried changing the USB port, but with no result.
I turned the computer off and on again: same result.
It's not a defect with the scanner because when I tried it on another computer in the house, it worked fine.
I tried uninstalling the software and then reinstalling it, and I still get the same result: "USB device not recognized."

How can I completely remove the USB driver to attempt a clean installation again (Windows 7 64)?

Thank you for your response.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 23.0

Hello,

A system restore to a date prior to the issue via the control panel may resolve the problem.

Hi, to uninstall the drivers for your USB ports, right-click on the computer icon on your desktop or in the start menu, select "Manage" from the list. Once it opens, click on "Device Manager" and then expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers". In the submenu, click on each title and higher up under the menu bar, there’s an icon that offers to uninstall. Once that’s done, restart your computer.
PS: the manipulation should be done without any devices connected.

Good luck

The problem is that the scanner driver no longer appears because I have an "unrecognized device", so it is not possible to uninstall it using this method.
