I can't write on Word.

Hello, everything is in the title. I just installed Word on my laptop, but after pressing Ctrl + Q, I can't move the cursor or type anymore. However, I can insert a table or other elements, but I'm stuck. What should I do to fix this, please?

    Can someone please help me, it's urgent

    I can open documents but can't write on them, and below the ribbon there’s no button to disable editing. I can't write either on new files or on old ones, and yet Microsoft Office is activated; it's Professional Plus 2013.
