I can't find "Run as Administrator"

Hello,

I am the only user of my PC (running Windows 7), so I only have one account which is indeed an administrator account. I need to modify a Windows file but it refuses me access.
When I right-click on my file, there is no "Run as Administrator" option. How is that possible? Where has that option gone? How can I run my file as an administrator?
Thank you in advance,

Zwiiip

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 29.0.1547.57

    Hello,
If it's not an executable file, you're unlikely to have that command.
If this file opens with a text editor, go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, right-click on Notepad, Run as Administrator.
In Notepad, click on File, Open, locate your file, open it, make your changes, and then close it while saving the modifications.

It's indeed a text file! Great, it works! Thank you very much!
