It's an old question, but it's useful. Therefore, I'm bringing it up.
To run in administrator mode, you should not check the Admin box in the "Compatibility" tab (a box that often remains grayed out) but by clicking the "Advanced" button in the "General" tab.
Conclusion:
1- Create a shortcut
2- Right-click => properties on the shortcut
3- General tab, click on advanced
4- Check the box "blabla administrator..."

I want to run 2 .bat files as an administrator, but I get a Windows security message saying "Cannot open these files: Your internet security settings have prevented the opening of one or more files." I've lowered the security settings to the minimum,
and applied the shortcut method, but it doesn't change anything.
Windows 8.1 Pro build 9600 x64
What should I do?
Thank you
