Hello everyone! I have a problem,
I have already searched on quite a few forums but none have really helped me! My problem is in the title :) I would like to know how to prioritize my machine on the connection!? Because I play a game called League of Legends, but when another person turns on their computer, I automatically jump to over 200 fps and it prevents me from playing and keeps disconnecting me! And yet the person on their computer is not doing anything special other than using the internet! Thank you in advance for your responses :)
(I am a beginner with computers ^^ and I am on Ubuntu :)

Hello,

You’re starting out in IT and you’re on a client Linux distribution, huh.

By 200fps I suppose you mean ping? FPS has nothing to do with cheese. :)

That being said, you can use QoS, which means prioritizing traffic (for example prioritizing LOL ports over everything else).

- Either use your box, if it allows it.
- Or place a router that manages QoS between your box and the other PCs, if your box doesn’t allow it.

The port range for the LOL client is 5000 to 5500. Source: http://forums.euw.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=833381

Have a great day.
