Hello everyone, so here’s the thing I have an Asus G750JX and it has two fans. There are moments (especially in games) when it uses both fans, but at the moment I’m writing this post, I’m recording a video, and it’s only using one fan. No big deal, but I launched a game, and it’s still using the same fan that was getting hotter, while the other one was doing nothing... Is that normal/serious?

Hi there!
All of this is perfectly normal.
Your PC has two fans for each of the two components that heat up the most: the processor (which is more than just a processor) and the graphics card. I say more than just a processor because it includes both a processor and a small graphics card (called an IGP) to handle everyday tasks that require little power, and thus less energy.
In so-called normal use (web browsing, video recording and even some small encodings) only the processor + IGP are working. Since both are on the same chip, only one fan is needed to heat everything up.
However, when gaming (as long as they are pretty demanding) or doing much more complex graphical calculations, it is the real graphics card that takes over. The second fan will then start running... Or not, because like the processor, it depends on its temperature, and thus on its workload.
To summarize:
- Normal use -> 1 fan, little heat
- Slightly more demanding use -> 1 fan and a bit more heat
- Much more demanding use -> 2 fans and more heat.-
+1, absolutely
hi
I have my own G750 like that JW, the one on the left is CPU, the one on the right GPU, while browsing there’s a light breeze between cold and warm for the left, and nothing on the right as used in browsing or other applications that consume barely anything, in games both work almost always, sometimes more the right one the GPU depending on the game.

in short a ROG of this latest generation, doesn’t overheat I’ve had time to test quite a few games and applications.

Hello.
Is it a handheld gaming PC? and quite expensive!
It's normal that the more components of the PC are stressed (especially with games) the higher the temperature goes, and since you have two fans they both kick in.
Who loves instruction! finds the knowledge that comes from reflection!
PS. Create restore points often! that solves quite a few problems. -
Thank you very much! :) Sorry I couldn't respond, my internet connection from Orange is "foamy"... Thanks anyway.
Just, when I bought my PC, the seller told me it wouldn't heat up, and that I could play in ultra at everything. But I'm not that stupid (I have a bit of IT knowledge), I know I can't run Crysis 3 in ultra. But I have the impression my PC heats up a lot in certain games. For example Planetside 2, I have the graphics on ultra. But I don't know if this temperature is normal, is there a way to know my temperature?
Thanks in advance! :)-

Hi
you have temps cores too http://www.google.fr/...
it shows at the bottom of my ROG screen
you can put your frequency, core temps, CPU load,
http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/870431sourirog.png
and for the MSI Afterburner graphics card, the two small airplane-shaped icons in the taskbar with the cores, when you play you get the temps, the frequency, the FPS that display, all that, you can even take a screenshot in-game or make a video while playing.
http://download1.msi.com/files/downloads/uti_exe/vga/MSIAfterburnerSetup231.zip
it shows this basically, the GPU frequency wasn't in standard mode 798MHz, since the game was on the menu, otherwise 920MHz with GPU boost.

I also have a ROG... and I use it for my architecture work, and during my final renders I have to render for about 7 hours each time... and only one fan is running... You say that if it starts overheating it will trigger the second one, or does it really depend on which sector is active? ... Will it regulate its temperature by itself? ... I'm a bit worried that during the night it will overheat and I won't be able to stop it since I sleep... :$ does anyone know?
