When I turn off my PC, the fan still keeps running.

Hello,

For some time now, when I turn off my computer (ASUS), the fans keep running! However, Windows (seven) is perfectly shut down. Each time, I have to press and hold the Power button to stop the fan.
The same problem occurs when I put my computer to sleep; the fan keeps running, and afterwards I can't wake it up from sleep, I have to force shut down my PC.

Aside from this issue, my computer works perfectly fine, there's nothing to report!

I don't understand where this is coming from, and I would like to fix the problem.

Thank you in advance!

    Hello,
    disable hibernation in Windows 7.

    Like this:

Start menu, type "cmd" in the search bar.
Above (in the menu), right-click and select: Run as administrator.

    A black window appears,
    type:
powercfg -h off, then press "Enter".

Hibernation will be disabled and you'll gain some GB in the process... Because the file "hiberfil.sys" will be deleted.

    Best regards.

Hello, and thank you for your response.

I followed your instructions but the problem persists and unfortunately nothing seems to have changed.
