I had this problem and I succeeded by logging out of MSN Messenger and then opening my Hotmail.
this problem occurred after cleaning my C drive

I can’t reconnect to Hotmail email anymore, thank you

I have the SOLUTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once you are on the HOTMAIL page, go to Edit (in Safari) then Preferences then Security, then Show cookies, and finally delete all!
Once your cookies are deleted, log in to Hotmail and check the box Remember my MSN address and my password!
There you go, you can read your messages!!^^
