Hello,

I'm trying out the fluid simulator but I have a problem...
How do I get "water" to flow through a pipe? I've selected the domain, the fluid (inflow) and the obstacle (a spring-shaped tube).

But the problem is that the liquid flows through the tube but spills out a bit: it follows the shape of the obstacle but clumps are coming out...

Thank you for letting me know how to fix it or where to find a detailed tutorial.

try increasing the thickness of the pipe. it should work

I don't have the software on hand, I will report when the problem is resolved and I will practice.

Even by enlarging the cylinder, the fluid still overflows... I don’t know why, thank you anyway.

Seb is not talking about enlarging the cylinder, but about increasing its thickness.
A pipe has a diameter AND a thickness (not to mention its length).

Thank you, I'll give it a try and see how it goes ;-)

If you created a cylinder without applying Solidify or creating any thickness, well, we can consider that it has no thickness.. Curious, isn't it? ;)
On BlenderClan, this question comes up regularly regarding fluids and pipe or container thicknesses. You need to create a pipe, not just a simple cylinder.

      Easy to achieve:
create the cylinder, tool panel (T) > fill "Nothing" (my blender is in French, it is advisable to leave it in English, the language of 3D). Press "E," then "G" to confirm the Extrusion, right-click to cancel the "G," then "S" + Shift+Z (to restrict the Scale on the Z axis)..

My fluids always overflow even with Solidify...
But now, I often use Solidify to make models look nicer, more realistic...

On this subject, I'm not talking about using Solidify to give thickness to your pipe. ;)
