Hello everyone,
I really need your help!! I bought a Mappy Ulti S536 GPS a month ago and during the first use it suggested completely wrong routes (going through no-entry streets, cycle paths, etc.). So I tried to update it but it's impossible; it doesn't appear among the compatible models on Naviextras and with Mappy Plus the synchronization takes a very, very long time and never finishes, getting stuck at 14 or 19%. I tried to contact Mappy several times by email, no response!! and obviously no phone number! !! I find this really shameful and I strongly advise avoiding GPS from this brand!
In the meantime, thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, I bought exactly the same model as you. As for the GPS / guidance operation it works fine even though I find their speed limit warning system completely stupid;
On the other hand I also can't update it although it is sold with the free lifetime update offer!! Lifetime maybe but you would need to manage to update it once first ...
I can only advise you to start by going to the Mappy site and downloading the Mappyplus software, you will easily find it on Google and the installation is not complicated. But if you manage to make it work, let me know because:
when I launch mappyplus an screen with icons appears (including UPDATE and product info) which are the only ones that could interest me and if I click on them nothing happens except freezing the software.
I uninstalled it, downloaded it a second time and re-installed but it still blocks after clicking on UPDATE or on product info ...
Anyone have an idea ??
ps: and it’s true that at mappy they don’t respond ... but before I was with Garmin and they never replied to any of the messages either (at least 6 in two years). frankly we must boycott, that’s the only thing that works!

I had the same problem with this GPS: my daughter's wedding in Lille, we had to go pick up guests beforehand... It led us through villages, wrong-way streets, and we almost missed the appointment. Same on the way back.
It starts giving me directions once I’m practically at the destination after driving for at least three quarters of an hour. It sticks to one avenue (always the same and I never ask) until finally the voice rings out, but often it’s too late; I’ve arrived or almost. This GPS is driving me crazy, it’s a real scam.
Hello readers, on this Mappy ulti S536 topic,
I contacted Logicom on May 9 about this GPS that’s driving me crazy. I have received no answer to my cruel question of whether it harbors a bug; indeed, it has been spinning me around since purchase in July, the knowledge of routes being more than random. The verbal announcement often has nothing to do with the display of the direction, it has made me waste precious time wandering around town, with instructions bordering on incitement to violation with its guidance to enter a forbidden direction! “Take right, take left, at 4000m, turn left” all in one breath! And don’t you think somewhere that it’s a nice scam to advertise “lifetime updates” while slyly stating on their site that for them, “for life,” means 4 years and 4 downloads! I don’t care much since my April 3, 2013 program is still the latest offered! They’re not fast at Logicom/Mappy! DO NOT buy this brand, really sincerely, you’ll get lost.
