Hello,
my GPS needs to be reset with the computer, how do I do that? I'm waiting for advice - thank you, see you soon -

Configuration: Windows Vista / Chrome 45.0.2454.99

Hello,

I have doubts about your intentions, so here are two responses to make sure I'm answering the question.

All GPS brands have their own way of working. Normally, with the GPS, you have a CD or a download link to install the software that allows you to update your GPS from your computer.

To reset the GPS to like new condition, refer to the manual. Most often, there is a small button that you need to press with a pen on the back of the GPS.

The reset does not restore to factory settings; it only performs a forced restart of all its applications.

According to your reasoning, it would erase all user-entered data, which is false; it does not erase anything.

Restoring to factory settings is something entirely different.

To reset the GPS to its factory settings (if that's what you want to do), you need to do it through the GPS menu and not via the PC.
Additionally, you haven't provided the make and model of the GPS.
