Connecting with Philips Smart TV

Solved

Hello,
I'm unable to activate the 'smart TV' feature on my new device - Philips 32PFL4508H.

Following the "pin" procedure and going through the WPS connection:
the television confirms it is connected to my Netgear Wi-Fi modem router,
but on my computer, it reports a connection failure!
And I'm back on TV function, with no access to smart TV (which asks me to establish a connection again)

The Netgear help desk redirects me to Philips, as it shows a 'connection'

I'm going around in circles; thank you for helping me find a solution.

Hello,

In order for the SmartTV function to be effective on your TV, you need a quality internet connection.

1- Please click on the links below to activate Smart TV:

https://download.p4c.philips.com/files/3/32pfl4508h_12/32pfl4508h_12_dfu_fra.pdf#search=activer smart TV (pages 71, 72, and 73)

2- For PC/TV connection: refer to the instructions provided by your PC or graphics card manufacturer to configure the PC or graphics card before connecting to your television.

Make sure your PC has the latest software version, and your graphics card has the most up-to-date drivers. For more information, visit the website of your PC or graphics card manufacturer.

You can connect a PC/laptop to your TV in two ways. Please consult the links below:

https://www.philips.fr/c-p/32PFL4508H_12/4000-series-smart-tv-edge-led-3davec-pixel-plus-hd./aide tv/pc&slg=FRA

3- The current software version of your TV is: 002.021.000.001, Zip file, 138.60 MB, Release date: 2013-05-22.

Check that you have the same version; if not, update the software of your TV:

For further information on this matter, please contact Philips Consumer Service at:

Congratulations, you provide a link that doesn't even work, it's a reflection of the seriousness of your company. Once again, Samsung is quite clearly ahead of you; it's almost impossible to find the software or the procedure to follow to connect a Mac.

At the same time, this link was provided in July 2013 and you are responding nearly a year later... It's perhaps normal that since then the page has changed/been modified/been removed...
