StarCraft on LAN (this game isn’t dead!)

Hi,
I have a problem playing Starcraft (yes, in 2007 lol) on LAN. We're using a WIFI network. We configured everything correctly (IPX protocol, disabled firewall/antivirus etc...). When I start SC, I can see the game they created but I can't join them, and vice versa (they can see my created game but can't join). It's exactly the same version (same CD) and they can play between themselves, only my PC won't :((((...

I think it might be that we don’t have the same version of Windows (though I doubt it, one uses Win 98SE and the other XP Pro US) I'm on Win XP Pro (in Spanish)...

Well there you go if you have a solution, please reply ^^

thanks
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.3

The issue with joining a created game stems from the IPX protocol to install and the connection choice made by Starcraft. Since I’m not on Wi-Fi, the connection can only be made via RJ45... For you, it’s the opposite—you’re on Wi-Fi... Verify that Starcraft isn’t trying to connect through the other connection than the one you want... in your case... via the “local area connection,” so disable the... On my side, it was necessary to disable the “wireless” connection... Once disabled, players should be able to join the created game without problems... Note: to disable: right-click Network Favorites and Properties... then right-click the desired network connection and disable... Thanks, let me know if that helped you... Have fun gaming...

I see it more like a key protection.
That two identical keys cannot play together.

Hi, there is no key protection, because it’s possible to play over the network with the same CD-ROM installed on all the PCs (so the same key for everyone). See you.

Or a firewall problem maybe. To be seen.

Yes, the antivirus firewall must be disabled or configured to allow passing the desired IP addresses...

We can have the same key on a local network (tested for 4 players)
      against 4 computers.

I insist, everything was correct, firewall disabled but it was neutralizing the unwanted connection that we could play on...

Hello everyone, I recently bought the game StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. It’s been a week now and I have two computers at home, a Wi-Fi connection that works great, but I have a few questions: how to play local network in StarCraft II? Is there a way to create two different accounts with the same key?

    Hello everyone,

I also struggled for quite a while; in fact, you need to install the latest patch at the following link:
    http://www.jeuxvideo.com/jeux/telecharger/pc/00000905-starcraft.htm

Now it works like a charm, pure happiness!!!
