I can't get my decoder player/recorder with USB stick connected via HDMI cable to the TV to work. The recording isn't happening!!??...

      the model of my HD TNT receiver with digital recorder function:
      SAGEMCOM DT83HD, connected with HDMI cable to the television.

      You need to connect the antenna cable to the ANT IN of the Sagem decoder and connect another antenna cable from the ANT OUT of the Sagem decoder to the TV. In the Sagem menu, check if it "recognizes" your USB key. If necessary, format it (as indicated in the manual, format "ts" or "tp"). Also, check that its capacity is sufficient: about 2GB for a standard definition movie and 6 to 9GB for HD.
      If you have had this Sagem for a short time, return it; a CGV Etimo 2T works much better.
      You could try with an external hard drive.
