Hello,
I have a Funai television (32 inches) and recently it won't turn on at all. The screen doesn't light up, the red LED at the bottom of the TV is on, but there is no response at all, whether from the buttons on the TV or the remote control.
I don't think the issue comes from the screen since it seems functional. I opened the back panel to check the condition of the circuit boards, and none of the capacitors appear swollen or anything. I also lightly used a heat gun on the motherboard but nothing works.
If anyone knows how to fix this TV, I would appreciate it!

Salut, the heat gun trick is a no-go; each card is protected by an electrically insulating protective coating. If you change the structure by burning it even slightly, it’s no longer much of an insulator.

Oh, alright, I didn't know that, thanks. But in your opinion, could the problem come from the power supply? From a capacitor? Because those are the most common failures, right?
Since nothing is displayed except for the red LED, the management chip is probably powered in standby mode, but the power supply does not start, so it’s likely one of the transistors on the heatsink on the power supply side, or both. But, given what you described about the type of overheating, I can only advise you to see a professional; this part of the circuit is directly connected to the mains, and any mistake is physically risky.
Ah, I see. But the TV is not on standby; it is actually off. It's a bit of a special model because when the TV is on, the LED is off, and when the TV is off (and not in standby), the LED is red. But I think there's nothing specific I can do at my level; I'll either consult a professional or it's off to the trash.
