Sims 3 Showtime or Sims 3 VIP Access?

Hello, I would like to get some opinions about The Sims 3 Showtime, as I'm torn between it and The Sims 3 Late Night.
Here are a few questions:
- In The Sims 3 Showtime, we can become a star, but is it like in The Sims Late Night, meaning that depending on our celebrity level, we have more or fewer stars? And are there paparazzi in The Sims Showtime, and opportunities when we are a star?
And finally:
For you, which is the better game between Showtime and Late Night?

Hi! Well, personally, I'd tell you to go for VIP Access.
To answer your questions, as for the stars, I don't believe there are any in Showtime alone. However, I can't guarantee that because I first had VIP Access, so automatically I had the stars. What I do know is that the fame system works differently: The more concerts you perform, the more you win Simfests, etc., the more famous you become. Similarly, the higher you level up in your career, the more people attend your concerts, they want autographs, and they buy your albums more easily. For the same reason as before, I don't know if there are paparazzi, but I don't think so.
Now here are my arguments: in terms of the game itself, you have many more new features with VIP Access. BridgePort, the city that comes with it, is just sooo amazing. You have buildings, bars, nightclubs, and even the subway! The celebrity stars are cool, but it gets old quickly when you want to do something else besides being famous and the paparazzi follow you absolutely everywhere. You can also be a director or an actor, and when you're a star with multiple stars, you make a lot of money with the opportunities (but honestly, money is easy to come by with motherlode haha). There are lots of new things to do in your city, tons of new social interactions, etc. I haven't even mentioned the incredible building possibilities! And there are vampires too ^^! You can own your bar or nightclub (or any place) as well.
Then in Showtime, you have three new careers: Singer, Acrobat, or Magician. This means that half your city will be one or the other (combined with Super-Powers, you get Werewolf Magicians or Acrobat Zombies ^^ but I'm digressing a bit ^^). You have the simfests, which are like festivals that you can win (you get a trophy), and then all the places where you can perform concerts (bars, theaters, fancy places with lots of gold, restaurants, etc.). You can sell CDs, sign autographs. You also have awesome things in hairstyles and outfits!
I prefer VIP Access because the new features are more noticeable, there are dozens of things to try out, and the city is far better than that of Showtime.
