Video Effect/Editing - Animation

Hello,

I have a little question.
In a video, I would like to make butterflies fly!!! Let me explain.
A woman is lying down, arms crossed over her chest. Her head is on the right side of the screen, her feet on the left. The image is still (the camera is fixed). A butterfly comes in from the right (the side of the woman's feet) into the frame, it flies until it is at the level of her heart and at that moment it lands on the woman at the level of her heart. Once it has landed, I would like to zoom in on the creature and see its wings slowly open. (See here from 0:56 to 1:11 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVFjIzqWT4w) Then there would be a new wide shot with the woman lying down and the butterfly on her. Throughout, many more butterflies come to her and land until they completely cover her. Then the camera should circle around the woman while the butterflies remain and occasionally flap their wings to make it feel real. At the end, all the butterflies fly away at the same time. (See here from 0:27 to 0:37 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVFjIzqWT4w)

Do you have any ideas? It’s super important, but I have no idea how to do it.

Thank you!!!

Hello, for once, we are not being asked for the umpteenth time how to make explosions and fire, a bit of poetry
for that, you need a bit of skill and some heavy-duty equipment
first, a multi-track video software and type "chroma key" on the web

"Donkeys change their minds, but fools do not"
remember to mark your message as "resolved" if that's the case

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. Could you please help me step by step? I don't know anything about computers and I really want to make this video. Considering that I don't have any "powerful" equipment! ^^
Thank you very much

Hello,
Indeed, the idea is nice, but if you don't have the minimum necessary equipment and knowledge, step-by-step help is really not possible through a forum.
What you are asking for is very complex... it would require several dozen pages and hours just to explain, describe, comment on, and correct a single plan!
And this is not limited to editing but to all the images that would need to be created with other software to try to achieve the desired scene...
First, you will need to set up your PC with an adequate configuration for video editing, then buy good editing software, and finally, work hard to get familiar with all the functions.
At that point, we can step in to provide some assistance instead of doing everything for you!
Good luck!
Best regards

A little "Hello" for the detour + a little "Thank you" after the troubles + a little [RESOLVED]
are never superfluous!

Hello,
Yes, you are right. Without equipment and without knowledge in IT, it would be more than difficult. But I haven't given up on the idea of making a video in the same style. So I thought of something. If I could have some sort of animated gif with a butterfly flapping its wings (realistic enough without being exceptional), I might be able to do an editing with PowerPoint. Let me explain. The camera would be fixed (it wouldn't circle around the bed and the person), which would already remove a certain difficulty, and with a trajectory, I would make several butterfly gifs move until they cover the person.
Does this idea seem more plausible to you?
Best regards

Hello,
I don't know enough about PowerPoint's capabilities to advise you on that.
But if you are well-versed in it, why not!
What is certain is that the result will be less "impressive" than what you initially wanted!

Good evening,

After several searches, I found a butterfly flying against a green background. I would like to use the sequence from 0:00 to 0:03. So first, I need to cut the video. Question: How do I do that? With completely free software, of course! Then, I need to loop the resulting video. (Maximum 6 seconds of video) How do I create a loop? After that, I need to mirror the video. Here, the butterfly comes from the right. It should also come from the left. How do I do that? Finally, I need to remove the green background so that I can integrate the video onto a photo placed in PowerPoint. How do I do that?
That's a lot of questions! Do you have any answers?

Hello,
I don’t really understand the point of using PowerPoint just for green screen insertion...
If you’re doing sequence cutting, looping, mirror multiplication, and the movements of the butterflies (because I assume they won’t just stay static flapping their wings!), you need a video editing software that can do all that.
And as Glandu mentioned earlier, this software must also be able to handle multiple video tracks and "chroma key" for green screen insertion!
You can only achieve an interesting result without too much hassle with a paid program.
Furthermore, your idea of rotating the camera around a woman lying down can only be achieved if you film her yourself while moving around her... because with just a simple photo, I don’t see how—except for an image rotation from a top-down perspective???
Best regards.
