Image volume blocked in the middle of the screen

Hello,
I am reaching out for your help because I don't know what to do anymore. My issue is that for several weeks now, I have the rectangular volume image stuck in the middle of the screen, and I can't get rid of it...

    Are you on Windows Seven with an Asus?

    If so, I have the solution!

      I have the same issue
      always give the solution for Asus under Seven
      personally, I'm on Vista with a Packard Bell, it might work too

      Have you resolved the issue with the "volume" image stuck in the middle of the screen?
      For a few days, the image would disappear when pressing the "OK" button on the far right of the screen, then reappear; now it is stuck for good! It's very annoying, especially when the dialog box appears behind the rectangle, as we can't respond to it and have to turn everything off...
      Thank you for your help!
      I am using Windows 7, Packard Bell, Philips 190B monitor (I give these details as I have absolutely no idea what is relevant...).
