Hello everyone
I am vugnar75, new to this forum and just a very simple internet amateur. In fact, I only use it to read my emails, the news, and social media. Yesterday morning, I was "victimized" by an anonymous message from a "spotted" page. It's quite a harsh message and I would like to know who the author is.
Is there any way to track down the author? (IP identification, finding the real author of the message who passed through a fake account, ...)
I apologize in advance for this (admittedly futile) intervention, for which I am not sure about the title of the forum in which I posted it.

You are indeed in the right Forum..
For the I.P is the message received on Facebook of Morons? In that case, you do not have access to the I.P. And if you had the I.P you would not know (and not even at 100%) who the ISP of the individual is. Let's remember that the identification of an I.P Y by user X can only be achieved following a request from the Police/Judiciary to the ISP.. Given the price charged by ISPs, the request is only made in 'serious' cases..
So whether the I.P is in your possession or that of F.B, identification could only take place following a receivable complaint that is then not classified.
Such complaints are 'thrown in the trash' (= classified..) 99% of the time.
