Booting under BIOS Emachines E527

Hello everyone
A PC Emachines E527 has failed at my place because its owner has a problem.
I just checked and indeed, upon startup, the screen is black and asks to press F2 for setup. By pressing F2, the machine starts under BIOS (normal, therefore).
Apparently, there hasn’t been any recent downloads or strange manipulations (like opening the machine or installing software).
So I'm stuck! Any ideas??

Additional information: After clicking on Esc, the computer asks to restart in safe mode or normal mode.
In normal mode, upon arriving at the login page, it is impossible to enter the session with the owner's password?! Could the problem come from there??
