Computer that freezes at startup, American Megatrends message

Hello,

As indicated in the title, my computer has a lot of trouble turning on; it starts after several attempts.

Here are the messages it shows on the screen:
Press F12 for BBS POPUP
1 AMD North Bridge, Rev G2
Initializing USB Controllers .. Done.
3072MB OK
DDR2-800 MHz SingleChannel
USB Device(s) : 4 Storage Devices
Auto-Detecting 3rd Master .. IDE Hard Disk

...
Press F1 to Resume

When I press F1 this is what I get:
Reboot and select proper boot device
or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key

Then nothing...................

Could someone tell me what’s wrong please, thank you.

    This didn't change anything, I changed the battery stack and I can't turn the computer on anymore.

    The message is the same as before, it lights up but nothing more, still this message on the screen.
    Should I still do what you say?

    At startup, keep pressing the "Del" key; you’ll enter the BIOS. There you select "Load setup defaults," then OK, then you set the BIOS clock. Once done, press F10 and OK.

    I have load optimum default, but I don’t see how to adjust the clock.

    Well I did everything you advised, I also did everything I could read on the other post, but nothing works, when I turn it on it’s straight to the message and nothing else. Thanks to you babarjo ;)

    I did as you said, but at my place it isn’t in the load setting default to adjust the clock, did I mess up? because I did set the clock correctly, there was even the date, then I pressed F10, but nothing, I’m starting to despair :(
