Hello,
I have a problem. I just acquired a PDA: it's an HP IPAQ rz1710, but I can't turn it on. With the stylus, I press RESET (on the bottom left), and then the screen lights up: at the top it says: "hp iPAQ Pocket PC" (on a blue background), in the middle of the screen there is a loading bar, and at the bottom, there is the HP invent logo, and finally, at the bottom right, in red, it says: "1.00.06 FRA".
When the loading bar is done, nothing happens. Additionally, when I plug it into the PC, nothing appears... I don't have an installation CD.
What should I do??? Please help me.
Thank you.

I had the same problem, and by doing a hard reset, it finally turned back on. However, all the entered data was lost (not too serious if you sync regularly with your PC).
On mine, to do the hard reset, I had to press two buttons + with a stylus on the usual reset button.
Good luck! -
Thank you for the first response, but it doesn't help me at all... I bought it on eBay... Please help me.

Hello
I have a problem with the memory extension card of my PC; I can't get the 1GB SD card to be recognized
Is there any way to declare or format it???
Thank you -
Hello,
Have you tried leaving it on charge for a 'good' while?
Then, keep the stylus pressed until the HP screen lights up, and then let the Windows bar charge normally
It happens to me sometimes when the battery is empty. -
Hello,
Thank you very much for your response, but this question is 6 months old! I just bought this PDA. In fact, it just needed to be reset... Thank you for your information (for when the battery is empty) that is helpful because it often happens that I let it run out completely since I use my PDA a lot in MP3 mode (among other things).
Are you satisfied with the battery life?
Thank you! -
Hello, pat_25,
Autonomy: N O T and besides, I often find this technology concentrate too hot.
Well, it must be done, concentrating all that into just this,
All the forums talk about a 1,800 battery, but the price!!! Well, excessive for me, so I leave it charging as much as possible, I am well equipped with all charging supports (car, usb, ...) and on top of that, with beautiful background slides, it's nice
That's it -
Hello, I have a Compaq Ipaq 3600 that I can't turn on :s When I charged it for the first time, I heard a beep, then "Compaq" appeared on the screen, and then it disappeared, leaving red lines on the screen! :s And it's impossible to turn it back on... However, the PDA charges because the yellow light is flashing. How can I turn it back on???
Thanks in advance! =D -
Yes, indeed, the hard reset is the best solution. The issue on my part generally appeared after a long period of activity and a dead battery. To avoid this, it is better to charge it for a few minutes before turning it on.

Merci.

Hello
to watch a divx, no problem, download the tcpmp-core software, free for pda
but you need to take the pocketdvixencoder 3.60 program to encode them to pda format
with this, very good picture and very good sound. After encoding, put them on your sd card, the film format is
between 170 mb and 240 mb so a 256mb sd card is sufficient and it works.
