Hello!

Can someone tell me which software to use to remove ads before, during, or after recording an opera broadcast on TV? I tried using Windows Movie Maker, but it outputs a file in a format that even VLC doesn't recognize.
Thank you for your help.

    Hello,

What resolution do you record TNT in: SD or HD?

    - For SD, you can use, for example, Mpeg2Cut2. The software creates files in MPG format, for the MPEG-2 codec used. You select the parts to keep one by one and then you glue them together with the same software.

    - For HD, it's a bit more complicated (it actually depends on the type of file you have) but if you can manage it with MovieMaker (Windows Live Movie Maker), you need to save your movie either in WMV or in MP4 if your version is up to date, using the button at the top right.
Moreover, since the WLMP file is not a video file (it’s just the project backup), it’s normal that VLC cannot read it.

    Best regards

Thank you for your reply received while I was away. I will try to use the recommended software.
I am recording files on TNT (A2 Arte FR3) or on Mezzo or Mezzo HP via FREE either SD or HD
Otherwise, can the WLMP file be converted?

Sorry for all these questions and thank you for your response.

    Best regards.

No, because a WLMP file is not a video file; it is just the project file saved in MovieMaker.
To obtain a video file, for example, go to the top right and select Save Movie. You can export it either as WMV or MP4 if MovieMaker is up to date.

    Hello!

Despite all the good explanations, I accidentally found at the station a book super "the complete guide to the Freebox Revolution" published by Presselivre internet.
They explain to use "Freemake Video Converter". I used it, and it's great and easy.
I hope this information can be useful to others.
In any case, thank you again for your help.
