insert an image during the video with Windows Movie Maker

Question

Hello,
I would like to know how to insert an image during a video using Movie Maker.
I know that you can add an image after a video clip, or between two video clips, but I would like it to appear DURING the video, meaning that the video continues playing, but the image appears on top (and not after).
I hope I was clear.
Thank you in advance for your responses.
P.S.: I only use Movie Maker.

Hello,  Movie Maker is a basic editing software and this option is not available.

Hello,

You can do it with the free version of VidéoPad Video Editor by using the Overlay Track, which means doing Picture-in-Picture or Image-in-Image. This works with both images and videos.
This software does not allow you to create nice menus like MovieMaker does, so even though it's not really recommended (it’s better to use paid editing software if you're working with footage from a camcorder), use both programs to achieve your goals.
