Hello everyone,
Here is my problem:
I don't know if it ever worked on my machine, and if it did, I wouldn't be able to say when the problem appeared, but it is absolutely impossible for me to use this keyboard shortcut to print!
Whether it’s in Word, Adobe Reader, Firefox, Chrome, Excel, Preview Images, in short, NOWHERE, the shortcut CTRL+P refuses to work.
I press CTRL+P, and then: NOTHING! Absolutely nothing.
However, CTRL+S? That works! CTRL+Z? Perfect! CTRL+C? Thank you fine Sir!
But not CTRL+P.
I tried uninstalling my keyboard (Logitech K750), reinstalling it, installing SetPoint, not installing SetPoint, I even tried assigning the "search" key on my keyboard (a feature key that works with FN) the available function "print", and no, sir, nothing happens! I tried assigning this same key and also those labeled "email", "home", "calculator" the function "activate key combination, which I configured to perform the combination CTRL+P, and NO, nothing happened, I tried assigning the same thing with CTRL+Z, and there: BINGO, they all work...
Explain to me, save me, I can't take it anymore, I would like to be able to print using this shortcut, I’ve done this all my life, the poor neurons in the white matter that connect my brain and my fingers are conditioned to behave this way by reflex, I need it!
This is a cry for help, and the magician who solves my problem will be rewarded with all my gratitude and respect.
Configuration: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 / Firefox 20.0 / AMD Phenom x4 955 / GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 revision 1.1 / Exposing my config here isn't really relevant anyway.
