Hello, I have a 7-inch Samsung tablet. I set a password for when the tablet opens and I would like to remove it. How can I do that, please? Thank you very much.   Configuration: iPhone / Safari 4.0

You need to go to the settings and click on "more", remove the "VPN" and then go to security "screen lock", enter a PIN code, then on "Continue" and there you can choose "none" and there you go, no more PIN code!

Hello, I tried what you suggested, but unfortunately when I go to the screen lock, it doesn't give me the option to select "none". It only asks me to enter the password. Additionally, what I don't understand is that it’s not in Security but rather in a separate place from the lock screen and I can't see anything in Security.
Had I known, I wouldn’t have set a password every time the tablet turns off; it's tedious. I thought it could be removed easily like on a computer.

To set a Password on the Samsung Tab2 - 10.1 tablet running Android:

Model No. GP5100
This is for unlocking the tablet, I actually used a PIN Code.
So start by turning on the tablet
Settings\Security\Screen lock\PIN Code
Enter 4 digits, for example: 1111
================== ====
You will be asked to confirm the PIN Code.
I assume it’s the same if you have a password with letters.
=====================================================
Restart the tablet and you will no longer be asked for a PIN Code (Password)

To remove the Password (or PIN Code) from the Samsung Tab2 - 10.1 tablet:
========================================================
Model No. GP5100
Go to Settings\Security\Screen lock
Then it asks for your password (twice) enter it and click OK (twice)
(OK or Next), it's a piece of cake.
The window will return and at the bottom of the page, there is None
Then (click on None)
There you go, no more Password upon opening.
Finally figured it out all by myself, isn't that great...

Hello, I finally found it after so many months, because "screen lock" I couldn't find it under security, but my tablet version has this specification separately, I clicked on it, then I clicked on "locked screen" and after that it slid to no security or unlock or any, and I tried on none and it finally worked. In my case, on my Samsung Galaxy Tab, I had the same problem when I installed a VPN connection. I had to set a password, so I think you need to go to Settings > Advanced Settings > VPN and delete the VPN network.

Hello Odiro, I solved your problem because I was stuck too. So on your tablet go to settings > lock screen > enter your code where they will indicate it to you > then you just have to remove it or choose another one. There you go, I hope I helped you :)
