My email address is displayed instead of my number.

Question

Hello,  I have a problem with my iPad, when I send messages, it’s not my number or my name that appears (for people who have me in their contact list) but my email address, specifically my iTunes ID... Help!!!! ??? ^^  Thanks in advance   Configuration: iPad / Safari 6.0

I would have liked to help you, but I don't own an Apple product; I've been somewhat tied to SONY since birth... Otherwise, try doing some research through GOOGLE while waiting for a possible response.

Hi, it's normal for your Apple ID to display since the iPad is not a phone (linked to a carrier even if they provide you with the connection). You should think of the iPad as a computer. If you're using iMessage, it's an Apple system linked to your Apple account.

Thank you very much... Yes, I compared it with my iPhone too and unlike the iPhone, I can't add a number as you have also noticed! I had this issue after doing an update two days earlier... It's quite strange that my problem arises two days after my update, that's why I'm having a hard time understanding :/
