Outlook is not set as the default mail client.

Question

Hello everyone,  I am currently trying to install Public ShareFolder on a network of about ten computers, but I am facing a problem. As soon as I try to launch the software, it tells me that Outlook 2010 is not set as the default mail client. However, I have checked both in the software itself and in IE. I then tried to apply the help from Microsoft's own website (https://support.microsoft.com/fr-fr/help/813745), but I could only modify and repair Microsoft Office Professional + 2010 and not Microsoft Office 2010 directly. Is there a way to force Public ShareFolder to recognize Outlook as the default mail client? Thank you in advance for your various responses. Nah, I think you had the same problem as me. To solve this issue, it will be in the registry key. Here is the path: hkey_classes_root/mailto/shell/open/command The value data should look like this: C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office14\OUTLOOK.EXE -c IPM.Note /m %1 If it’s not the case, change the value. Check on restart if the value has changed. Otherwise, everything should be fine.

During the installation of Office 2010 It should create registry keys I'm on XP, I don't know if it changes in Win 7 In the path HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command You should have a registry key of type reg_sz (string value) If you don't have it, yes you can create it. In the section (data) C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office14\OUTLOOK.EXE -c IPM.Note /m %1 and check that your Outlook 2010 executable is indeed in program files/Microsoft office/office14. Otherwise, I would have another solution if it doesn't work.

Hello,  I am currently installing the client version of Publicsharefolder on client computers, but when I try to add a PSF Outlook database, I get the following error message:  "unable to load the DLL file of the information service"  Does this still relate to the registry keys? How can I avoid this error?

Outlook is not set as the default mail client.
