Unlock USB video on Samsung TV

If it's mentioned there, it's also mentioned in the TV's manual, so there's no need to guess, but people are smarter than us, someone said that..., and then it's a big hassle.

Well, I wouldn't go that far, but it's quite dishonest on the part of the sellers not to point it out.

Personally, I'm equipped with Sony, and when I buy something, I always test the seller, I gather my own information on what I want, and then I ask the questions to the seller. So I went to MediaMarkt, and there I had spotted "my" future TV and "my" future home theater. I asked a bunch of questions pretending that I knew nothing at all, and it was based on the answers given by the seller that I eventually made my purchase. The guy was honest and was able to answer all my questions flawlessly, so my conclusion was that this chain of stores was reliable and that the sellers knew what they were talking about. Those are more than convincing arguments, unlike Samsung.

Go to an authorized Samsung seller, they'll tell you everything is great and blah blah blah, but on their own initiative, they won't give you that kind of detail; a friend who lives just two steps away from me had to pay the price for that.

I saw that it was possible to unlock the video function of the USB port on series 6 TVs without risk and on some series 5 via a hidden menu, but I haven't found a topic mentioning the model number of my TV...

I just gave you for your TV, if you have a USB key, put a DIVX on it and go try it.

My drive is formatted in FAT32 and it's not working; it opens a menu for photos and music but nothing for video.
