Unlock USB video on Samsung TV

Hello, I see it's always the same issue with those damn Samsung TVs!!!

@ stewartia, it's not just on the older models, I've dealt with a very recent topic about this, Samsung and the sellers of this brand make sure not to mention that certain models only support image and music files; they don't say that the TV doesn't support video files, otherwise, they would sell a lot less, it's a deliberate and dishonest commercial tactic on Samsung's part.

@ fioflo11, you should have looked into this important detail before buying; you don't buy a TV for its so-called design or brand (which isn't a reference, by the way), you buy a TV for its quality, features, and connectivity!!! Take it up with Samsung; what they will respond with is what I've just written.

One point where I agree with stewartia, stop trying to play the sorcerer's apprentices by tinkering with your TVs without knowing the consequences; you've been scammed for a USB port that doesn't read video files, blame the brand and its sellers, and in the future, inform yourself before purchasing!!!

@ mpuissance4, you're wasting your time; it's a deliberate scam from Samsung and its sellers, all they're interested in is selling, selling, and selling again; don’t try pressing this or that button, that’s how the model is, it's up to people to look before buying an expensive and ugly product.

Regarding this info about the non-reading of video files, it's written in tiny print in the manual, but since people think they're smarter than the manual, they don't bother to read it!!! And then they come here crying that this or that doesn't work on the TV; if the manual had been read, we wouldn't be here responding to this topic.

Information about USB usage:
- the USB port can be used to update the TV (new software/firmware)
- the files read by USB drives are MP3 and JPEG
- the file system only supports FAT16/32 format (no NTFS)
- USB hard drives and hubs are not supported (only USB flash drives or memory card readers)
- the maximum supported JPEG resolution is 15360x8460 pixels

a USB flash drive in FAT32 ^^
