Hello,
I have a little (big) problem with my computer. For some time now, my computer has been displaying incorrectly: there are lots of red pixels everywhere on the screen. Very often now, it starts up, asks for my password, I enter it and press enter, and then my screen goes blank (turns black) but the computer is still on. I deduced that it was the graphics card, so I reinstalled the driver, but nothing changes...
My graphics card: ATI Radeon(TM) HD 4800 Series Overview
So if you know the problem, I'd appreciate your help...
I think the graphics card needs to be changed, but others say no.
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 9.0.1

Uh, my graphics card is a 4800. Yes, the fan is working well, because it makes an enormous amount of noise!!! The temperature is okay, I tested it with CPU-Z... it's my brothers who told me that, I don't know why.....
Hi,
Given these symptoms (visual artifact), it's sadly possible that the graphics card has failed!
Is it a 4870? Overclocked?
Have you checked the operating temperatures of the GPU? Is the cooling working properly?
"I think the graphics card needs to be replaced, but my friends say no" who says that and for what reason?!? You never know; we should explore all possibilities.

Can you give me the idle and burn temperatures of the GPU?!?
