Sell a smartphone under contract?

Hello,
I have a smartphone that I bought with a contract that runs until September 2013.
I bought another new smartphone.
Can I sell the old one? If I take the old SIM card to put it in my new smartphone, everything should be okay, right?

Hello You can very well resell your smartphone that is under contract, it’s your SIM card that is under contract, not your phone. The SIM card under contract, where did you put it? On the new one?

Yes, because you pay for your phone at the same time as your subscription, so even if you resell it, you will finish paying it until the end of your contract.
