AMD E1-1200 Processor Solved

Question

Hello,

I want to buy an all-in-one computer for not too much money, and I would like to know if this processor is sufficient for office work, surfing the internet, and watching videos? I don't play on PC, so I don't want to spend more than €600 on it.
However, I have always bought Intel Pentium and I'm having a hard time trusting AMD. Is this dual-core processor powerful enough?

Honestly, for gaming, it's better to avoid all-in-one machines, for the simple reason that the inside of the PC is similar to a laptop—80% of the parts are soldered, which means there's no possibility to upgrade the machine. Even worse, the integrated GPUs are slow; that's enough for older games, but for recent games (GTA 5 and others), it's a lost cause!

An all-in-one PC is more suited for office work (internet, Word, videos), but definitely not for gaming. However, for the same budget (without a screen), you can easily find custom-built machines online that would best meet daily needs, including gaming. That said, for that price, you shouldn't expect a pro-gaming machine, but rather a reasonable machine that can evolve over time without issues.

Hi, for 600 euros you can get much better than an AMD E1! Look at Intel: a Core i3 or i5 will give you very good performance for what you want to do. For 400 euros, you can still get very reasonable performance (i3). So for what you want to do, you don't need to spend that much money...

Hello... Just an opinion that’s worth what it's worth... I own 3 laptops, including a brand new HP with a full HD display, 6 GB of RAM, an i3 processor with Intel HD 5500 graphics, plus a dedicated AMD Radeon R5 M330 card with 1 GB of dedicated memory... I also have an old Packard Bell LE11BZ from over 3 years ago, equipped with a very modest AMD E1 1200 processor, often cited as a 'piece of junk' in your lines... This PC only serves me for the internet, for video playback... Despite the opinions (very negative) on this product, it must be said that its real quality is well above that of the submitted reviews (Packard trash, etc...) I have been using it VERY INTENSIVELY for over 3 years: it can play HD videos, even Blu-rays without any problem... Of course, the HP is far better for applications requiring more graphical resources (I do photo editing from RAW files) that’s why I bought it, and it’s true that on a complex edit, perspective correction, white balance, cropping, and others, where the Packard Bell quickly folds under pressure (unless you have a lot of time on your hands), the HP is 3 to 4 times faster... But it must be acknowledged that the Packard Bell LE11BZ is a world champion both in silence and battery life (after 3 years of intensive use, the original battery still lasts a good 3 hours!!!) So we need to put things in context: for 'basic' needs (internet, video, simple photo without complex editing), you can find a good PC for €400... To think about... Of course, if you're a gamer, you’ll have to break the bank a bit more... But returning to the E1 1200 processor: low power, but supported by a good integrated graphics circuit (APU technology), so cheap and effective for basic use... Don’t forget that most users stick to office work, internet, and a bit of multimedia... Never forget that it all depends on the REAL NEED... Of course, if you have the means, why not treat yourself to a 'gaming' PC... but it's a bit like buying a Ferrari to go around the periphery or the city... See you soon
